Mary Immaculate enjoys a deserved reputation for providing an extremely high level of pastoral care as recognised by both Estyn and the Local Authority and sector leading in many areas.

This approach is rooted in the belief that every child is unique and we aim to provide a caring and kind environment where every child feels safe and valued. This enables pupils to thrive, be successful and ‘happy’.

The School population is therefore divided into year groups, of which there are up to seven form tutor groups per year. There is a pastoral raising standards leader (PRSL) for each Key Stage, and head and assistant heads of year who have overall responsibility for the all-round development of pupils within the age group.

Form tutors have daily contact with members of their tutor group and, together with the pastoral raising standards leader and Heads of Year, monitor progress and achievement, offer praise, advice and encouragement.
