The Welsh department at Mary Immaculate offers a varied, challenging and inspiring curriculum available to all learners. Lessons are differentiated and inclusive of all students and designed to ensure that all students are able to reach their full potential in this subject.
Students are provided with a wide range of linguistic skills and are taught using a variety of innovative and creative techniques that will help them toward the goal of achieving GCSE in year 11. It is important to create an enthusiastic learning environment where students are able to enhance their knowledge in all skill areas and enjoy learning the Welsh language.
KS3 students have 3, 1 hour lessons and KS4 students have 4, 1 hour lessons of Welsh a fortnight and will study a variety of topics in each year. Students are in sets from year 9.
